The B-2 Spirit is a multi-role bomber capable of
delivering both conventional and nuclear munitions.
The blending of low-observable technologies with high aerodynamic efficiency and large
payload gives the B-2 important advantages over existing bombers. Its low-observability
provides it greater freedom of action at high altitudes, thus increasing its range and a
better field of view for the aircraft's sensors. Its unrefueled range is approximately
6,000 nautical miles (9,600 kilometers).
|
The B-2's
low observability is derived from a combination of reduced infrared, acoustic,
electromagnetic, visual and radar signatures. These signatures make it difficult for the
sophisticated defensive systems to detect, track and engage the B-2. Many aspects of the
low-observability process remain classified; however, the B-2's composite materials,
special coatings and flying-wing design all contribute to its "stealthiness."

PANEL:
You can start on-line panel Help pressing help button to the left of the
central monitor (see left image) or from Views/Instruments panel/HELP menu.
Monitor switches have priority from below side (for see PDF you must switch off RADAR,
EICAS, HSI and gps).
Radio: clicking on the radio button you can switch from com1 to nav1,
nav2, adf etc.
You can also memorize nine frequencies pressing one number and then '->' key on the
right.

GPWS is switchable by GPWS switch (over help-switch). In default mode
GPWS is off.
GPS 500: the bottom monitor gps is re-sizeable.
see commands
Switches: all the panel switches are commanded by the gauge roger-switch.cab.
It may command 20 different windows. This gauge is in evolution. You can
liberally use this gauge in your panels. See legal stuff in readme. |

What an aircraft.........
Here it is after 1 AM and I couldn't leave it. Having learned to fly in 1957
in a Piper J-3, this experience was something else. Your entire team has all
of my respect for what they have done. The bird flies so smooth and accurate
that at times I forgot just how big and heavy it is. Usually on a new bird I
use the AP but on this one, it was more fun to hand fly it. The taxi portion
at ORD was the smoothest of any aircraft I have flown and the instrument
panel was easy to learn by the way it is setup.
Again, thanks to the team for what they have shared with all of us.

| I just can't compliment you enough on a fine piece of work! The
A/c just handles like a charm. Thanks a lot. Jake
